It was a good run, but Alpena unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-match winning streak on Monday. They lost 3-0 to the Cadillac Vikings. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Vikings when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-19, 25-10.

Alpena's loss dropped their record down to 15-13-2. As for Cadillac, they are on a roll lately: they've won 20 of their last 24 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-6 record this season.

Alpena has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Gaylord on the 21st. Hopefully Cadillac paid attention to the Wildcats' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Wildcats at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
