Baseball Game Preview: Franklin Panthers vs. Eagle Rock Eagles

For the second straight game, Franklin will face off against Eagle Rock. The Panthers will challenge the Eagles at 2:15 p.m. on Friday.

Franklin took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 10-5 victory over Eagle Rock.

Asher Epifano made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit. Epifano was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.

In other pitching news, Edurado Cuevas looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. He has become a key player for Franklin: the team is undefeated when he allows at most two hits, but 3-4 otherwise.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Joseph Galindo, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Javier Solis, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Franklin is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Eagle Rock, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
