Volleyball Recap: Steele Comets vs. Northview Wildcats

Steele was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Northview Wildcats. The Comets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Steele started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-16, 25-11, 25-18.

Northview found their leader in sophomore Jade Hagan, who had 12 digs and three assists. Alyssa Raczkowski also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Steele's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Northview, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Steele will take on North Ridgeville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northview, they will head out to square off against Anthony Wayne at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Generals will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
