Basketball Recap: Park Vista Comes Up Short

Park Vista and Miami squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Park Vista had to settle for second. They fell 65-56 to the Miami Stingarees. While losing is never fun, the Cobras can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Stingarees are ranked 32nd).

Miami's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Romari Robinson, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds. The matchup was Robinson's third in a row with at least 16 points. Aaron Richard was another key player, going 7-for-10 on his way to 16 points and five boards.

Park Vista has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 14-10 record this season. As for Miami, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.

Park Vista does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Miami, they will take on Coral Glades at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Coral Glades' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups.
