Volleyball Recap: Desert Vista Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Xavier College Prep + How To Watch

Desert Vista faced Xavier College Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Thunder lost 3-0 to the Gators. The Thunder just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-9, 25-18.

Kenzie Maldonado paced Desert Vista's offense, picking up eight kills. Maldonado got some help from Emerson Ortiz and her 11 assists.

Desert Vista now has a losing record of 14-15. As for Xavier College Prep, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 28-2.

Coincidentally, Desert Vista and Xavier College Prep will both be playing Sunnyslope the next time they take the court. The Gators will host the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Thunder will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on the 29th.
