Softball Recap: Mother McAuley Takes a Loss

Mother McAuley fell victim to St. Laurence and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings. The defeat continues a trend for the Mighty Macs in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost three in a row.

Mother McAuley's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for St. Laurence, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

Mother McAuley will be playing at home against Montini Catholic at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mighty Macs are facing the Broncos at the right time seeing as the Broncos are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for St. Laurence, they will head out on the road to square off against Marian Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vikings will also cruise into their next matchup with the timing on their side: the Spartans will have lost eight straight heading into Wednesday's contest.
