League recap: Poteau gets lift from Didway's big bat

NOAA league recap: 3/13/13

Michael Didway was on fire this week, as he led NOAA with a .500 average, three home runs and six RBIs. Poteau went 4-1.

The Pirates had a successful week, as they won four total games to lead the league. Poteau beat Vian 9-6, Red Oak 4-3 and Hilldale 7-4.

Muldrow boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks.

There were six hitters that batted over .400 in the league this week. The group was paced by Mike Victory, who collected four hits in four at bats for a 1.000 average.

Jace Pitchford led the league with nine hits this week for the Pirates. On the season, he's hitting .478 and ranks first in the league with 11 hits.



Jay Werner led Stilwell to a win on March 9, as he notched eight strikeouts to beat Poteau, 14-7. Over his five innings pitched he allowed four runs on six hits.

Mike Victory drove in four runners as the Bulldogs defeated Cameron 15-1 on Tuesday. He went 4-for-4 and scored one run.
