Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Naugatuck). They blew past the Derby Red Raiders 10-0 on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what Naugatuck needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Their offense was hitting Derby from everywhere, as eight different players booted in a goal. Lily Scanlon led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Naugatuck has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four contests. As for Derby, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Naugatuck has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Shelton on the 20th. Derby has also already played their next match (against Torrington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
