Basketball Recap: TMI-Episcopal Comes Up Short

After flying high against Central Catholic last Tuesday, TMI-Episcopal came back down to earth. The TMI-Episcopal Panthers came up short against the Antonian Prep Apaches on Friday, falling 72-48. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 72-54 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2015.

Antonian Prep got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Edison Onwe out in front who went 9 for 17 en route to 22 points and six rebounds. Onwe has been hot for a while, having posted 21 or more points the last ten times he's played. Another player making a difference was Amare Guerra, who posted 16 points and five boards.

TMI-Episcopal's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Antonian Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 29-4 record this season.

TMI-Episcopal will host Second Baptist at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. As for Antonian Prep, they will challenge Central Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Antonian Prep's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matchups.
