Baseball Recap: Robertson Takes a Loss

After flying high against Raton last Monday, Robertson came back down to earth. The Robertson Cardinals lost 27-3 to the Los Alamos Hilltoppers on Tuesday. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Hilltoppers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Robertson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Bonney, who scored a run and stole Four bases. while going 1-for-2. Those four stolen bases gave Bonney a new career-high.

Robertson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Los Alamos, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Robertson will challenge East Mountain at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Robertson is facing East Mountain at the right time seeing as East Mountain is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Los Alamos, they will square off against Sandia Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
