Soccer Game Preview: Kelly vs. North Grand

The Kelly Trojans will square off against the North Grand Eagle Owls at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Kelly is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight matches last Monday. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Little Village. The shutout was out of character for Kelly seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but North Grand had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They never let Wolves get on the board and left with a 1-0 win.

Kelly's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1-3 and their overall record down to 7-5-3. As for North Grand, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7-1.
