Volleyball Game Preview: Midland Timberwolves vs. Marquette Crusaders

Midland hasn't had much luck against Marquette recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Timberwolves will head out to take on the Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Wednesday, Midland didn't have quite enough to beat Flanagan-Cornell and fell 2-1.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The match finished with set scores of 29-27, 24-26, 25-9.

Meanwhile, Marquette came up short against Fieldcrest on Monday and fell 2-0.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-16.

Marquette now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Midland, their loss dropped their record down to 20-7.

Midland couldn't quite get it done against Marquette in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Timberwolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
