Softball Recap: Edwardsville Takes a Loss

The Edwardsville Tigers came up short against the Lemont Lemont HS on Saturday and fell 8-4. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Edwardsville's defeat dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Lemont, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Edwardsville will challenge St. Charles North at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The North Stars' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Lemont, they will head out to square off against Pontiac at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lemont HS 3.2, the Indians 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
