Football Recap: Canyon Eagles vs. Randall Raiders
Canyon was the 48-7 winner over Randall when they last played one another back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Canyon Eagles had to suffer through a 43-9 loss at the hands of the Randall Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 541st, while the Raiders are ranked 223rd).
Randall got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaiden Miller out in front who rushed for 91 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 35 receiving yards. Miller really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run. Collin Miller also helped out with an impressive 116 receiving yards.
This is the second loss in a row for Canyon and nudges their season record down to 5-5. As for Randall, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-1.
Canyon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Randall, they will host Ysleta at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Randall will be looking to keep their eight-game home win streak dating back to last season alive.
