Volleyball Recap: Ashton-Franklin Center Comes Up Short

Ashton-Franklin Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Newman Central Catholic Comets. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Comets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Ashton-Franklin Center's defeat dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Newman Central Catholic, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-18.

Looking ahead, Ashton-Franklin Center will host Milledgeville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Newman Central Catholic, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Orangeville on the 18th.
