Volleyball Recap: Wauwatosa West Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wauwatosa West can now relate to. They fell just short of the Watertown Goslings by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Wauwatosa West took Watertown into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-9, 25-27, 22-25, 16-14.

Josie Schwake paced Wauwatosa West's offense, picking up 13 kills. Schwake got some help from Cora Eisenmann and her 26 assists. Brynn Jensen controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Wauwatosa West's defeat dropped their record down to 19-15. As for Watertown, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 28-6.

Wauwatosa West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Watertown, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Waukesha West on the 25th.
