Last Monday, Summerfield strolled past Cabrini with points to spare, taking the game 58-41.
Meanwhile, Columbia Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 61-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Grass Lake. Columbia Central has struggled against Grass Lake recently, as their match on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Columbia Central saw an underclassman step up: Jaylen Lambka scored 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lambka has scored all season. Emma Shafer was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with three steals.
Summerfield has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Columbia Central, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5.
