Basketball Recap: South Forsyth Comes Up Short

South Forsyth suffered their closest defeat since December 10, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Alpharetta Raiders by a score of 61-58. The War Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Raiders earlier this season, when they won 67-52.

South Forsyth's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Alpharetta, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-18.

South Forsyth and Alpharetta could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. South Forsyth will challenge Lambert at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 265 places (289 vs. 24). Similarly, Alpharetta (ranked 386th) will meet Forsyth Central (ranked 187th) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
