Softball Recap: Menchville Takes a Loss

Menchville lost against Kecoughtan on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Monarchs came up short against the Warriors, falling 11-1. The Monarchs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Menchville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brielle Creque (2027), who went 1-for-2 with one run. Bailey Tilley (2027) also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Menchville's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Kecoughtan, they now also have a winning record of 4-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Menchville will host Gloucester at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Dukes will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Monarchs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Kecoughtan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bethel at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
