Volleyball Recap: Carter Takes a Loss

Carter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 24th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Norte Vista Braves. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Braves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2022.

Carter's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Norte Vista, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Carter will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Rancho Verde at 5:15 p.m. on September 8. As for Norte Vista, they have already played their next matchup, a 1-0 victory against Canyon Springs on the 23rd.
