Football Game Preview: Monmouth Regional Falcons vs. New Egypt Warriors

The Monmouth Regional Falcons will head out on the road to challenge the New Egypt Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Monmouth Regional is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Shore Regional just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 27-13 bruising from the Blue Devils.

Monmouth Regional might have lost, but man, Tyler Gustafson was a machine: he rushed for 134 yards, and also caught two touchdowns. Gustafson's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 102 rushing yards.

Meanwhile, New Egypt came up short against Asbury Park on Friday and fell 50-43.

Monmouth Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for New Egypt, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
