Preview: Richwood vs. Northwood
Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Richwood should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They will look to defend their home turf against Northwood at 7:00 PM. Richwood will be looking to build upon the 33-32 win they picked up against Northwood the last time they played.
Richwood had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 2-34 walloping at Ouachita Parish's hands.
Meanwhile, Northwood was the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. Everything went their way against North Caddo last Friday as the squad secured a 49-0 win. With Northwood ahead 42-0, the contest was all but decided by halftime.
Northwood's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Richwood's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Northwood can add another positive mark to their record or if Richwood can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Northwood's step.
