Basketball Recap: Goddard Takes a Loss

Goddard played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 67-45 to the Lovington Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, with their most recent defeat being a 66-35 loss last Tuesday.

Goddard's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Lovington, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season.

Goddard does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lovington, they will challenge Portales at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lovington knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Portales likes a good challenge.
