Baseball Recap: Riverview Takes a Loss

Riverview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Anderson Titans. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Riverview saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Hunter, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Jameson Gelineau also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Riverview's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Anderson, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Titans beat Riverview by a score of 12-2 later that day.
