Baseball Game Preview: East Aurora Blue Devils vs. Tonawanda Timberwolves

The East Aurora Blue Devils will venture away from home to challenge the Tonawanda Timberwolves at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

East Aurora will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Depew, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Blue Devils beat the Wildcats on Tuesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 4-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blue Devils.

Meanwhile, Tonawanda earned a 7-3 victory over Cleveland Hill on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Timberwolves in their matchups with the Golden Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

The victory got East Aurora back to even at 5-5. As for Tonawanda, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

East Aurora skirted past Tonawanda 4-3 in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
