Softball Recap: Sutter's Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over

Sutter has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.63 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dixon Rams. The Huskies' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Sutter saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lexi Callison, who scored a run while going 1-for-4. Another was Gabriella Jones, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Sutter's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Dixon, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sutter will head out to take on East Nicolaus at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Dixon, they will venture away from home to face off against Natomas at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
