Williamsville extended the longest winning streak in Sangamo this week by beating Auburn, 17-0. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.
Pawnee made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,150 from 10,549. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 56-26 victory over Sangamon Valley/Tri-City last week.
Riverton's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. William Schneider threw for 305 and three touchdowns and Jazeel King had 232 yards receiving. On the ground Schneider chipped in 72 yards. Braxton Ladew helped Riverton's passing attack out by catching six balls for 50 yards.
The Hawks' Schneider and King have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Schneider has thrown for 1966 yards this season, while King has 55 catches for 916 yards. Austin Muench from the Trojans leads the league in rushing with 929 yards.
Auburn's Muench needs only 71 yards against Pleasant Plains next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Dave Bates' team takes on the Cardinals. As it stands, the Trojans are in fourth, while Pleasant Plains is in second.
Athens/Greenview led Sangamo in scoring this week after putting up 57 points on PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central.
