Soccer Game Preview: Stonewall Jackson vs. Page County

The Stonewall Jackson Generals will venture away from home to square off against the Page County Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Friday, Stonewall Jackson came up short against Madison County and fell 3-1. Stonewall Jackson have struggled against Madison County recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last game, Page County made sure to put some goals up on the board against Strasburg on Friday. They put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 5-2 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Page County's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

They hit Strasburg with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sam O'Neill (2), Dawson Richards (2), and Reed Richards.

Stonewall Jackson's loss dropped their record down to 9-3-2. As for Page County, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5-1.

Stonewall Jackson came out on top in a nail-biter against Page County in their previous meeting back in April, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Generals since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
