Football Recap: Smiths Station Takes a Loss

Smiths Station extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-3. They were beaten by the Carver Montgomery Wolverines 47-0. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Wolverines are ranked 15th).

As for Carver Montgomery, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 30 points or more this season.

Zion Crumpton was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 96 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.

Smiths Station wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 42-6 loss against Opelika on the 19th. As for Carver Montgomery, they have also already played their next match, a 50-28 victory against Dothan on the 19th.
