Soccer Game Preview: San Antonio Christian vs. St. Joseph Academy

San Antonio Christian is 1-7 against St. Joseph Academy since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The San Antonio Christian Lions will take on the St. Joseph Academy Bloodhounds at 2:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as San Antonio Christian comes in on four and St. Joseph Academy on three.

San Antonio Christian's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 4-0 margin over St. Augustine. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by three goals or more this season.

They hit St. Augustine with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Christian Connolly, Brody Barnard, Caleb Schuetze, and Aden Waltman.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Wednesday St. Joseph Academy sidestepped Saint Mary's Hall for a 3-2 victory.

St. Joseph Academy's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those three contests. As for San Antonio Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3-1 record this season.
