Softball Recap: Firestone Takes a Loss

Firestone fell victim to Ellet and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 10-0 to the Orangement. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Orangement this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 two weeks ago.

This is the second loss in a row for Firestone and nudges their season record down to 7-6. As for Ellet, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Firestone will head out to challenge North at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.08 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Ellet, they will venture away from home to take on East at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Dragons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.22 runs per game on average), something the Orangement will no doubt try to take advantage of.
