Volleyball Recap: Shadow Ridge Comes Up Short

Shadow Ridge lost against Perry back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Stallions came up short against the Pumas, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Stallions have suffered since March 12th.

Shadow Ridge took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-15, 25-20.

Leading Perry to victory were Zach Tomlinson and Tyler Mesias. Tomlinson had 17 assists and eight digs, while Mesias had three digs and three aces. That's the most aces Mesias has posted over his last seven matchups.

Shadow Ridge's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Perry, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-3.

Looking ahead, Shadow Ridge will host Valley Vista at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Perry, they will venture away from home to face off against Chandler at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolves will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Pumas surely won't give up without a fight.
