Ava has gone 8-2 against Houston recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Bears will head out on the road to challenge the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Houston took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Ava, who comes in off a win.

The Bears simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Tigers 42-14. Considering the Bears' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 55 points the game before, Houston was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They had to suffer through a 55-12 loss at the hands of Thayer. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-6.

Ava's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3. As for Houston, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-2.

Ava couldn't quite get it done against Houston when the teams last played back in November of 2024 as they fell 40-32. Can the Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
