Soccer Recap: Florence Comes Up Short

The matchup between Florence and Sumrall on Tuesday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Florence Eagles came up short against the Sumrall Bobcats, falling 6-3. The Eagles have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Kadie Carroll and Jordyn Quick scored all three of Florence's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 33 goals.

Florence's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Sumrall, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 13-3.

Florence will take on Brookhaven at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. As for Sumrall, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 7-0 victory against Purvis on the 9th.
