Liberty Common hasn't had much luck against Brush recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Beetdiggers at 4:00 p.m. Liberty Common is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

Liberty Common took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Wiggins 7-6. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Teagan Williams was excellent, earning three runs and two stolen bases. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bowyn Caudill, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.

Ben Mettlen was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. He is becoming a predictor of Brush's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is undefeated (and 5-6 when he doesn't). Mettlen was also solid in the batter's box, getting three hits from his three at bats.
