Basketball Recap: Tristan Robinson Key Part of a Team Effort in War Eagles Win

Brentwood won the last time they faced Pinewood Christian and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Brentwood War Eagles took down the Pinewood Christian Patriots 76-61. Given the War Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 187th, while the Patriots are ranked 486th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brentwood's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tristan Robinson, who posted 18 points. Robinson's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Khaden Walker, who scored 15 points.

Despite the loss, Pinewood Christian still got an impressive performance from Banks Hearn, who earned 30 points. That was a full 49.2% of Pinewood Christian's points, marking the 21st time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Kinlaw, who had 15 points.

Brentwood's record is now 18-3. As for Pinewood Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season.

Brentwood will be playing at home against Trinity Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Brentwood knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Trinity Christian likes a good challenge. Pinewood Christian has already played their next contest (against Frederica Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
