Basketball Recap: Manchester Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the Manchester Lancers ended up a good deal behind the Hopewell Blue Devils and lost 50-34. The matchup marked the Lancers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Manchester's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Hopewell, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

After both having extra time off, Manchester and Powhatan will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 7:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Powhatan will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Manchester surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hopewell, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Highland Springs at 8:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
