Basketball Game Preview: Old Fort Stockaders vs. Woodmore Wildcats

The Old Fort Stockaders will head out on the road to take on the Woodmore Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Saturday, Old Fort was fully in charge, breezing past St. Mary Central Catholic 61-14. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Stockaders.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Woodmore's strategy against New Riegel on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Woodmore blew New Riegel out of the water with a 58-24 final score. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 346th, while the Blue Jackets are ranked 751st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Woodmore's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Old Fort, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.

Old Fort came up short against Woodmore in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 45-37. Can Old Fort avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
