Basketball Recap: Tariq Johnson Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Trabuco Hills

Servite picked up another tournament win on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 62-45 victory over the Trabuco Hills Mustangs.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Servite to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tariq Johnson, who shot 63% from the field en route to 14 points and five rebounds. Johnson has also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season. Marcus Gragg-Buchanan was another key player, going 6-for-11 on his way to 15 points and eight boards.

Despite the loss, Trabuco Hills still got an impressive performance from Carter Peckson, who shot 63% from the field to rack up 15 points. Another player making a difference was Isaiah De Lorez, who posted seven points and five rebounds.

Servite now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Trabuco Hills, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Servite will face off against Woodbridge at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Friars will need to watch out since the Warriors have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Trabuco Hills, they will be taking part in a tournament against Villa Park at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
