Softball Recap: University Bulldogs vs. Northridge Grizzlies
There's no place like home for University, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They never let the Northridge Grizzlies onto the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Thursday. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by eight runs or more this season.
Sydney Goetzel was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't pitched less than six innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, University let Ellie Baca and Kamzee Kern loose on the outfield. Baca got on base in all four of her plate appearances with a double and an RBI, while Kern scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Kern has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
University always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northridge only posted an OBP of .238.

As for Northridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
