Football Recap: South Point Comes Up Short

South Point extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 3-7. They took a blow against the Gallia Academy Blue Devils, falling 34-7. If the Pointers were looking for revenge after losing 49-12 to the Blue Devils when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Gallia Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their seven-point performance the game before.

Max Canaday continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 179 yards and one TD while picking up 9.9 yards per carry, and also throwing for 59 yards and one touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 111 rushing yards. Gallia Academy's leading receiver Parker Burris was Canaday's top target yet again, picking up 39 receiving yards, while also rushing for 57 yards and one score on only seven carries.

As of now, neither South Point nor the Blue Devils have any future games scheduled.
