Volleyball Recap: Westside Starts Season with Win at Home

Westside took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Howard Huskies 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Seminoles have posted since September 5, 2024.

Westside was actually outscored in aggregate across those three sets (57-53), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 13-25, 25-22, 15-10.

Howard dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Westside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Mary Persons on the 7th. As for Howard, they will face off against Rutland at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
