 Two dominant  signal callers in  Beau Beshears and  Lane Sceals are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Maclay Marauders are taking a road trip to  face off against the Deerfield-Windsor Knights  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Both come into the  matchup bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Maclay will bounce into Friday's   contest after  beating North Florida Christian, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Marauders were the clear victors by  a  43-20 margin over the Eagles on Friday. Considering the Marauders have won five games by more than 22  points this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.

Maclay's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Anthony White, who rushed for 117 yards and one  TD on only 15 carries.  Tucker Poppell also helped out with an impressive 168  receiving yards.
 Maclay didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Ford Brown and  Blake Brannen.
Meanwhile,  on Friday Deerfield-Windsor's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single  point of losing the streak, but they secured  a   21-20 W against Valwood. 21 seems to be a good number for the Knights as the  team scooped up a  win with the same number of  points in their previous game.
 Maclay better keep an eye on  Gabe Daniel. He was instrumental in Deerfield-Windsor's win, picking up 185 receiving yards and a pair of  touchdowns. That's the most  receiving yards  Daniel has posted since back in October of 2024.
 Maclay's record is now 7-1. As for Deerfield-Windsor, their record now sits at 9-0.
Friday's   matchup might be decided in the trenches. Maclay has been excellent on the ground this season,  having  averaged 148.2  rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Deerfield-Windsor, though, as  they've been averaging  only 78.9  rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
 Maclay beat Deerfield-Windsor 28-21  in their previous meeting  back in October of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was   Sceals, who threw for 265 yards and three  TDs.
