Softball Preview: Alton Redbirds vs. Collinsville Kahoks
Alton and Collinsville are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Redbirds will be playing in front of their home fans against the Kahoks at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alton will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
Alton is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Althoff Catholic 17-1 on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Sydney Moore made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
In other batting news, Alton let Gabby Gonzalez and Sophia Hanneken run wild. Alton's victory bumped their record up to 4-15. As for Collinsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.
