Softball Recap: Strawn Comes Up Short

Strawn lost against De Leon back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Strawn Greyhounds lost 29-5 to the De Leon Bearcats.

Strawn's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for De Leon, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Strawn will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Three Way at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for De Leon, a feisty cat fight will be fought as De Leon Bearcats take on Santo Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on March 18th. The timing is sure in their favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Santo has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
