Soccer Recap: Westmoreland Falls to James Monroe in First Game of Season

Westmoreland had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the James Monroe Yellow Jackets by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The Eagles have struggled against the Yellow Jackets recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westmoreland will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against Mathews at 5:30 p.m. on March 26th. As for James Monroe, they will take on Culpeper County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be Culpeper County's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
