Baseball Recap: Mountain View Comes Up Short

If Mountain View was riding high fresh off their 8-2 takedown of El Monte last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings lost 10-0 to the Marshall Eagles on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in March.

Mountain View saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was ALEX MORENO, who scored no runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Mountain View's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Marshall, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Mountain View is set to square off against their familiar foe Rosemead at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Marshall will take on rival Gabrielino at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
