Pleasant Grove won the last time they faced Fairfield and things went their way on Saturday too. The Spartans came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 14-9. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

Pheonix Lewis was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and six unearned) runs off four hits. Lewis was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two).

In other batting news, Kenyon Gunn was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Brandon Whatley was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Pleasant Grove's record is now 10-14. As for Fairfield, they dropped their record down to 8-12 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Pleasant Grove will face off against Wenonah at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Fairfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
