Softball Game Preview: Bartlett Indians vs. Montachusett RVT Bulldogs

The Bartlett Indians will face off against the Montachusett RVT Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bartlett has given up an average of 7.1 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Bartlett's offense. They came up short against Oxford on Tuesday, falling 12-0. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Meanwhile, Montachusett RVT made easy work of Murdock on Tuesday and carried off a 20-4 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won five matches by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Montachusett RVT is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.8 runs over those games. As for Bartlett, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.
