Recap: Skyline Raiders vs. Lake Ridge Eagles
The Skyline Raiders had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They slipped by Lake Ridge 50-49 on Tuesday. For Skyline, this counts as revenge for the 71-66 loss the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Skyline got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Naiya Carney out in front who scored 16 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Brown, who scored 12 points.
Skyline's victory bumped their record up to 15-17. As for Lake Ridge, they dropped their record down to 17-14 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Skyline will square off against the Longhorns at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cedar Hill presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Raiders in Texas (the Longhorns are ranked 27th, while the Raiders are ranked 120th). As for Lake Ridge, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. DeSoto is coming into the game hot, having won their last 11 games.
